What to tell the dispatcher
A few details help us send the right person with the right parts. You do not need technical words, just a clear description of what you see, hear or smell. The more specific you are, the more likely the first visit finishes the job.
- Where in the house the problem is: kitchen, bathroom, basement, laundry, yard or the street side of the property.
- What you can see: water on the floor, a slow drain, a gurgling toilet, a cold shower, a wet ceiling or a sewage smell.
- What you have already done: closed the main valve, switched off the breaker, stopped using fixtures or tried a plunger.
- Your address and ZIP code, and whether you rent or own, so we can reach the landlord if needed.
- Whether anyone is in danger. If you smell gas, leave first and follow PSE&G's published guidelines: move at least 350 feet away, then call 1-800-880-PSEG (7734) or 911.
Why we do not use a contact form
A form does not help when a pipe is spraying water, and it adds a wait that a phone call does not. Every request on this site goes to the phone line. If your question is not urgent, email contact@247plumbercarteret.com and we will reply during normal business hours.
When you call, you may be asked for your address, the best number to reach you and a short description of the problem. We state the price before work begins, and nothing starts without your agreement. Calls to our line may be recorded for quality and training purposes.
Visiting the office
Our office is at 835 Roosevelt Ave, a short drive from the Turnpike's Interchange 12 in Carteret. Because trucks are often out on calls, please phone before stopping by. The map below shows the exact location.
